Many of our clients from Abottsford, Langley and across the Lower Mainland are wondering what this year’s summer RV camping season is going to look like: Can I still buy an RV? Will BC parks be open? Can I still work on my van conversion project? The short answer is a resounding “yes, yes, and yes,” but the longer answer includes a list of new modifications that will be in place. The team at Get-Away RV is passionate about adventuring, spending time outdoors and the RV lifestyle; although life has changed dramatically in the past few months, this passion has helped us find new ways to adapt the way we do business, so that we can continue to serve the RV community while also maintaining rigorous safety standards. Here is what we know so far about RVs, vans, camping and Covid in BC this summer:
Here in British Columbia, we are incredibly fortunate to have limitless nature right outside of our front doors. In the middle of May, BC Parks began reopening many trails, beaches, picnic areas and boat launches to be once again enjoyed by BC locals. Provincial campgrounds and back-country camping are expected to get the green light from BC Parks on June 1st, which means our Get-Away RV camping community can start planning for some summer adventures. Even though we are all excited to get outside, it’s important to observe the health and safety regulations that will continue to exist throughout the year, such as maintaining social distancing, limiting the number of people at a campsite, bringing your own cleaning and sanitizing products to keep up with personal hygiene, and monitoring your own symptoms - if you’re sick, then stay home. You can keep up with information and updates from BC Parks about BC camping and Covid in 2020 here.
It might not be business as usual, but we are certainly still doing business in order to help our customers as best we can! Get-Away RV has been deemed an essential service, and we consider ourselves as such: many people depend on their RV as their 24/7 living space, and we are here to provide those folks with the services, parts and advice they need to survive. Plus, with outdoor activities, including the gradual reopening of BC parks, considered to be one of the safer things for people to enjoy this summer, many people are looking to buy a new RV or upgrade their current RV to suit their changing needs. Here are a few of the ways we are continuing to do business with our customers across BC’s Lower Mainland:
Parts and service departments remain open! Please contact our Parts Department or Service Department, and we will arrange for curbside pickup of your part, or the safe transfer of your unit for its scheduled maintenance appointment.
Van conversion services remain open! Many people are more interested than ever in finding ways to experience a more isolated and off-the-grid lifestyle. Our experienced Van Conversion Department is here to answer your questions and discuss ways to turn your dreams of living the #VanLife into a reality.
Our sales department remains open! Browse our massive inventory of travel trailers, truck campers, toy haulers, fifth wheels, pop-up trailers and camper vans online, and contact our Sales Department to arrange a viewing of any units that you are interested in purchasing.
