When the days get long and the air gets warm, most British Columbians have one thing on their mind - camping season has arrived! In our current uncertain climate, many of our customers have been asking whether it’s still a good idea to be purchasing an RV this spring. Here at Get-Away RV, we believe that buying the camper, trailer or converted van of your dreams is certainly still in the cards. Let’s take a look at how the spring season is shaping up at Get-Away and why we are remaining optimistic about this year’s camping season in BC!
Spring is our busiest time of the year as we help folks purchase the perfect travel trailer, camper or fifth wheel for their needs and lifestyle. People love that most of our units can be prepped for the summer camping season right here at the dealership and driven off the lot into the BC wilderness. There is no need to winterize and store your RV for months on end, which is typically what happens when you purchase a unit in the fall or over the winter. Not to mention that purchasing an RV early in the year will give you the most use out of your unit, rather than purchasing in the summer when we only have a month or two of camping season left here in the Lower Mainland.
The team at Get-Away spends the winter carefully examining new RV stock and securing hundreds of impressive units for our dealership, which means our inventory is at its most plentiful in the spring. If you want to shop around and look at different RV styles, layouts, features and take advantage of big savings, then the spring is when you’ll have the most options available to you. In fact, we carry more RV brands than any dealership in Southern BC - the sky’s the limit with Get-Away!
2020 has been a rollercoaster year, and to say that the world changed very quickly is a bit of an understatement! With the future of airline travel, hotel stays and international holidays in question, RV camping can be a safe and exciting way to still enjoy some quality vacation time this summer. With so many self-contained units available, it’s completely feasible to head into the British Columbia mountains to camp, swim and connect with nature without coming into contact with other travellers. Many units can be rigged with big enough freshwater and waste disposal tanks, plentiful food storage and renewable energy sources to keep you cozy while you live off the grid for at least two weeks. If you have questions about how to set yourself up for isolated-camping success, our Get-Away team is happy to walk you through all of the best models and features for long-haul adventures in your RV this summer.
We know that plenty of folks from Abottsford and across the Lower Mainland have more questions than usual about buying and RV and camping this spring - and we are here to help! Our experienced and friendly Get-Away RV team is ready to answer any questions you may have, and make recommendations on everything from choosing the perfect trailer to camping destinations across British Columbia. Don’t hesitate to reach out online or over the phone - we can’t wait to hear from you!
